The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) is an autonomous organization established under an Act of State Legislature. It is a regulatory body responsible for prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations and fixing minimum standards for school education in secondary level in schools located in state of Orissa. The Board has divisions at district headquarters namely Sambalpur, Berhampur, Rourkela, Angul etc. where field offices are also opened to oversee implementation of examination related matters like conduct of examination including question paper coding etc.
What is the Government decided about 10 Summative Assessment 2

The situation has changed dramatically in the 2021-22 academic year, with some classrooms being taught. About 70 percent of the students are educated in classrooms. Prior to the matriculation examination, some stakeholders, such as students, teachers, members of the teachers 'union, parents, guardians, and other members of the Board of Secondary Education were asked to determine if it was time to prepare for and take the students' exams. 1. Summative Assessment - II is required to be tested and the test should be conducted offline.
2. One subject in one day at a time, with very little interruption between exams and exams.
3. Due to the dry season, the exams should start at 9 am.
4. Since the textbooks will be completed in March, the exams will begin in the last week of April.
The government has decided to conduct the Summative Assessment-II examination based on the views of students, parents, education and educators. In the last two years, the government has taken a number of steps to address the issue of student education in the Corona epidemic and to ensure that students are not put to the test.
1. The Summative Assessment - II examination will be conducted by the Council for Secondary Education and it will be compulsory for all students.
2. Exams will be held at your school as soon as possible and teachers from other schools will be hired to manage it. If necessary, students at that school will not be able to take the test at any of the schools, for example. The council will prepare a Guideline on this.
3. The council will determine the test results in the following three ways, taking into account the situation of the last two years and the interests of the students. The first of these three methods is the Alternative Method of Assessment, and the third is based on the new Scheme of Assessment announced by the Council.
Evaluation Process of 10 Class BSE Odisha
According to the first method: - Summative Assessment - I and the weightage of Internal Assessment will be doubled and the test results will be determined.
According to the second method: - Only the weightage of the Summative Assessment - II will be doubled and the test results will be determined.
According to the third method: - According to the new evaluation method of the council, the results of the examination will be determined by giving 20% to the Internal Assessment, 30% to the Summative Assessment - 1 and 50% to the Summative Assessment - II.
The test results of each student will be determined in the above manner and the final result will be the one in which they will score the maximum number.
This year's high school, middle (Sanskrit) and state open school examinations to be conducted by the Council for Secondary Education are underway. It has been decided that it will start on 29/09/2022 and end on 09/05/2022.
